Take time to realize
that his love is
crashing down on usTake time to realize
that he is by our side
his word, his word tells usThat book spells it out for us
Jesus Christ resurrection saves us
his book spells it out for usIf you just realize what we have realized
that we'd be better if we're justified
and holy if we're sanctifiedJust realize what we have realized
then we could take off our old selves and put on Jesus ChristIf we change our ways
if we change our ways
then we could be renewedIf we would just pray
if we would just pray
the he could change me and you
"old old old oak table" | John Chiu (EFC Los Angeles)
I am an old old old oak table,
sitting in a yard sale, with a ten dollar label.
Washed up and tossed out by my so-called “family,”
ready to be pawned off to anybody with money.A man walked by and gave a few kicks,
another ran their finger and said “the edge pricks.”
Yet another came with a crisp ten bucks,
and a heave and a ho, I was in his truck. He paid for me and took me home,
didn’t even care that I was lost and alone.
He knelt next to me whispering ever gently,
I will make you beautiful again, again perfectly. These layers of paint, that were poised to taint
and to make me into something that I ain’t.
He poured out his restoration withholding naught,
stripping away my sins because now I’ve been bought.Whether I am marred, scarred, used or bruised,
I turn to him and now I’m never refused.
Black, White, Latino, Asian
my Jesus has made us all amazin’.
So now I am a new, old old old oak table,
sitting in the yard, but not for sale, with a priceless label.
